2 Chronicles begins with glory and ends with rubble (and a spark of hope). It focuses on Solomon and the Temple, then exclusively on the kings of Judah. Unlike Kings, which is a political bulletin, 2 Chronicles is a sermon on revival, highlighting kings who promoted spiritual reform.

The theology revolves around "Seeking the Lord" (Darash).
1. Theology of Immediate Retribution:
"The Lord is with you while you are with Him." If you seek God, you prosper; if you forsake Him, you suffer. God reacts in real-time to the heart's posture.
2. The Revival Formula:
In 2 Chron 7:14, God gives the roadmap for healing. It depends on "My people": Humble, Pray, Seek, Turn. Revival starts in the Church, not the Palace.
3. The Battle is God's:
Jehoshaphat's strategy was singing. "Do not be afraid... the battle is not yours, but God's." Worship is a weapon of war.
Where does 2 Chronicles meet you?
1. Need for Personal Reform:
Reformers had to tear down "high places". What do you need to tear down that has become normal but offends God? Revival requires cleaning.
2. When the Problem is Too Big:
Jehoshaphat's prayer ("We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You") is for the overwhelmed. Our weakness is the stage for God's strength.
3. Hope at the End:
The book ends with Cyrus's decree to rebuild. Even at rock bottom, God always leaves an invitation to "Go up" and start over.
