Paul never visited Colossae. Hearing of a heresy involving angel worship and strict rules, he writes from prison. The false teachers claimed Jesus wasn't enough; you needed "secrets".
Paul counters: You don't need "something more". If you have Jesus, you have the Fullness (Pleroma) of God. The secret is not in the stars, but in Christ.

The theology is radically Christ-centered.
1. Hymn of Supremacy (Ch. 1):
Jesus is the "image of the invisible God". He is not created; He is the Creator. "All things were created through him and for him." He is the glue holding the universe together.
2. Shadow vs. Substance (Ch. 2):
Religious rules are "shadows". The reality is Christ. Why hug the shadow when you can embrace the Person? Religion focuses on shadows; the Gospel focuses on Substance.
3. Christ in You (Ch. 1):
The mystery revealed is: "Christ in you, the hope of glory." Christian life isn't imitating Jesus from a distance; it is Jesus living His life inside you.

1. Searching for "More":
Do you feel the Bible is too simple? Do you seek mystical secrets? Colossians warns: whoever has the Son has everything. Don't seek shortcuts; deepen your roots.
2. In Daily Work:
"Work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." Your real Boss is Christ. This turns spreadsheets and dirty dishes into sacred worship.
3. Set Your Mind on Things Above:
"Seek the things that are above." It isn't alienation; it's perspective. We only live well on earth when anchored in heaven's reality.
