Written to Jewish Christians who were tired and persecuted, tempted to go back to the "safety" of Judaism. The author urges: "Don't go back! Would you trade the reality for the shadow?". It connects the Testaments, explaining that old rituals were just a trailer for Jesus.

1. Jesus is Superior:
Jesus is greater than Angels, Moses, Joshua, and Aaron. He isn't just a prophet; He is the radiance of God's glory.
2. The Perfect High Priest:
OT priests stood daily; work was never done. Jesus, after one sacrifice, "sat down". The work is finished. The veil is torn. Access is open.
3. Faith as Endurance:
Chapter 11 is the Hall of Faith. Faith isn't positive thinking; it's the assurance of things not seen. Believing God rewards those who seek Him.
Where does Hebrews meet you?
1. The Danger of Drifting:
"We must pay much closer attention... lest we drift away." Backsliding is rarely sudden; it's a slow drift. Drop the anchor.
2. Needing Access:
Feel God is far? "Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace." Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses because He suffered too.
3. The Endurance Race:
"Let us run with endurance... looking to Jesus." Life is a marathon. If you want to quit, look at Him. He endured the cross. You can make it too.
