Job opens the curtain of the spiritual world to show a cosmic wager. Job, the richest and most righteous man, loses everything in a day. Most of the book is a debate between Job and his friends, who try to explain suffering with religious logic: "If you suffer, you sinned." Job defends his innocence.

1. The Accuser:
Satan asks: "Does Job fear God for nothing?" The enemy claims humans only love God's blessings. Job's suffering tests if faith survives without reward.
2. Job's Friends:
They represent cold moralism. Correct theology ("God is just"), wrong application ("So you are bad"). Trying to explain pain with clichés is cruelty, not comfort.
3. The Whirlwind:
God responds not with explanations, but with majesty: "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?". The answer to suffering is not intellectual explanation, but divine revelation.
Where does Job meet you?
1. In Senseless Suffering:
If the math of faith doesn't add up ("I prayed, yet I lost"), Job is your friend. He validates your pain and shows it is possible to be angry, confused, yet faithful.
2. When Friends Hurt:
Job meets us when we are judged by those who should comfort us. It teaches us to forgive these "miserable comforters".
3. I Know My Redeemer Lives:
At rock bottom, Job prophesies a Redeemer. Faith is trusting God's character when everything is dark. The last word belongs to the Lord.
