Mark is the "action movie" of the NT. Shortest and fastest. Writing for Romans, he skips the genealogy and starts with John the Baptist. No time to waste.
Key word: euthus ("immediately"). It appears over 40 times. Jesus heals, then immediately leaves. Focus is less on what Jesus said and more on what He did. A biography of a man on an urgent mission.

The theology presents Jesus as the King who serves and suffers.
1. The Messianic Secret:
Jesus often tells people to be quiet about His identity. Why? People wanted a Political King, not a Suffering King. He had to redefine "Messiah".
2. The Suffering Servant (Mk 10:45):
Key verse: "The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve." In Rome, power meant having slaves; in the Kingdom, power means serving. The Cross is the goal from page one.
3. Disciples' Failure:
Mark is honest. The apostles are slow, afraid, and clueless. This highlights that salvation depends on Jesus' faithfulness, not ours.

1. In the Rush of Life:
Stressed and busy? Mark shows a Jesus with a full schedule who still found "desolate places" to pray. He teaches us to find focus in chaos.
2. When You Don't Understand:
Disciples constantly ask "Who is this?" and have "hardened hearts". If you feel slow to learn, take comfort. Jesus doesn't fire learners; He stays in the boat.
3. The Call to Serve:
Mark destroys ego. Do you want to follow Jesus or be a celebrity? Following Mark's Jesus means picking up the towel. Greatness is in sacrificial service.
