01. The Scene
A Roman centurion asks Jesus to heal his servant. Jesus offers to come. The centurion recoils: "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof."
"Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed."
02. The Essence
This is Fear/Reverence. He understood Jesus' authority. "Only say the word." He knew Jesus commanded sickness like he commanded soldiers. Jesus marveled at this faith.
03. My Voice
How do you approach God? With arrogance or humility? The Fear of the Lord recognizes we aren't worthy, but His Word is sovereign. When you understand Authority, you don't need to see; you just need to hear Him command.
