01. The Scene
Jesus contrasts the "Good Shepherd" with the "Hired Hand". The hireling flees from the wolf. The Shepherd steps in front. The wolf bites the Shepherd so the sheep lives.
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
02. The Essence
The proof of love is sacrifice. "Greater love has no one than this." Jesus wasn't a victim. "No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord." His love is voluntary and fierce.
03. My Voice
Doubt God's love? Look at the Cross. The Shepherd already faced the Wolf. If He gave His life, He won't withhold daily care. You are loved at the price of blood.
