David needed to sacrifice to stop a plague. Araunah offered the land and oxen for free. David refused the free offer with a profound statement.
"I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing."
02. The Essence
He said: "I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing." Worship without sacrifice is empty ritual. Value is determined by the cost to the giver.
03. My Voice
We love comfort. David teaches us to pay the price. Maybe your cost is waking up early (sleep), forgiving (pride), or giving when tight. Cheap worship doesn't touch heaven.
