His wife Michal despised him for being "undignified". David replied: "It was before the LORD... I will become even more undignified than this." Praise means forgetting your dignity to exalt God's. You can't worship if you worry about opinions.

Are you ashamed to express love to God? The "spirit of Michal" (criticism) tries to kill passion. Learn from David: when God is the focus, reputation doesn't matter. Extravagant worship cures our need for approval.
