01. The Scene
Hagar, mistreated and pregnant, flees to the desert. She felt invisible. The Angel of the Lord finds her and calls her by name.
"You are a God of seeing, for she said, "Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.""
02. The Essence
Hagar's reaction is awe: "You are a God of seeing" (El-Roi). Fear of God comes from knowing His omniscience. He sees our suffering and our secrets. Knowing His Eye is on us brings holy comfort.
03. My Voice
Think no one sees your pain or your secret sins? God is El-Roi. He sees all. To the sinner, terror; to the sufferer, an embrace. Live knowing you are never out of His sight.
