The Perfume of Forgiveness

Luke 7:36-50
Listen

01. The Scene

Jesus dined with Simon, a Pharisee. A "sinful woman" entered. Without a word, she wept on His feet, wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and poured perfume. The Pharisee judged; the woman worshiped.

"Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little."

02. The Essence

This is worship as a response to forgiveness. Simon offered dinner (religion) but no intimacy. The woman had no dignity but a broken heart. Jesus said: "Her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much." Worship intensity mirrors forgiveness awareness.

03. My Voice

Do you worship like Simon (polite, cold) or the woman (desperate, passionate)? If your worship is cold, maybe you forgot what God saved you from. Return to His feet. Tears are often the loudest prayer.
