01. The Scene
Peter was a pro fisherman. Jesus was a carpenter. Peter fished all night (best time) and caught nothing. In the morning (worst time), Jesus says: "Go deep and cast the nets." Peter's logic screamed: "Useless!"
"Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets."
02. The Essence
Obedience is acting against your logic when God speaks. Peter says: "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets." The miracle happened because he submitted his experience to Jesus' authority.
03. My Voice
Is God asking something illogical? (Forgive the undeserving? Give when poor?). Rational obedience is easy; faith obedience creates miracles. When you say "At Your word" and cast the net against your will, that's when the net breaks with fish.
