01. The Scene
Wise men traveled months to find a baby. Upon finding Him, they "fell down" (body) and "opened their treasures" (wallet). They gave Gold (King), Frankincense (God), and Myrrh (Sacrifice).
"And they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh."
02. The Essence
We cannot come to God empty-handed. Not because He needs it, but because giving materializes our recognition of who He is. They gave their best before Jesus did any miracle. They worshiped Him for who He was.
03. My Voice
What did you bring the King? We often want to "receive". The Magi traveled to "give". True worship involves bowing our pride and opening our treasures. Worship says: "My valuables pale in comparison to You."
