Temor

The Face Like the Sun

Revelation 1:12-17
Listen

01. The Scene

John, the beloved disciple, meets Jesus in Patmos. But Jesus has changed. Eyes like fire, face like the sun. John's reaction isn't a hug, but absolute reverence: "I fell at his feet as though dead."

"When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, "Fear not.""

02. The Essence

Fear of the Lord is the natural reaction to Glory. It's not terror, but the inability to stand before such holiness. Jesus comforts him: "Fear not." True fear ends in comfort but starts in surrender. You can't just "chat" with the Glorified Christ; you can only worship.

03. My Voice

Have you lost the awe? Too used to "Buddy Jesus"? Recover the holy trembling. When we see Jesus as He is (Glorious), earthly problems shrink and worship deepens.
