Solitary Integrity

Genesis 39:7-12
Listen

01. The Scene

Joseph was young, handsome, and far from home. Potiphar's wife harassed him daily. No one would know. He had every excuse to give in (loneliness, opportunity).

"How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?"

02. The Essence

Joseph's answer defines the Fear of the Lord: "How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?". Not against Potiphar (human fear), but God (holy fear). Fear isn't being afraid of getting caught; it's knowing God is in the locked room. He chose prison with a clean conscience over a palace with a dirty soul.

03. My Voice

What do you do when no one is watching? The test isn't Sunday service, but the private browser tab. The Altar challenges us to live "Coram Deo" (before God's face). Integrity in secret is the foundation of public authority.
