Holy Ground

Exodus 3:1-6
Listen

01. The Scene

Moses sees a burning bush. Curious, he approaches. God stops him: "Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground." Moses hides his face.

"Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground."

02. The Essence

Worship begins when curiosity ends and holy fear starts. Removing sandals is humility (skin touching dust). God is accessible but not common. Intimacy doesn't cancel majesty. Worship recognizes the infinite gap between Creator and creature.

03. My Voice

We lost the sense of the Sacred. We enter God's presence carelessly. The Altar invites us to stop, take off our "sandals" (status, hurry), and recognize: God is here. Reverence aligns the soul.
