The mechanic is Voluntary Restriction. Job didn't wait for temptation; he decided beforehand. Covenant is a fence built in peace to protect in war. Controlling eyes protects the heart.

What covenants have you made with your senses? What enters your eyes (internet, movies)? Job's principle challenges us to be proactive in purity. Make a pact: "I won't look at what doesn't edify." Visual holiness guards the soul.
