God revealed 7 years of plenty followed by 7 years of famine. Joseph proposed: "Collect one-fifth of the harvest in good years and store it." He didn't eat everything. He built huge stocks.
"That food shall be a reserve for the land against the seven years of famine... so that the land may not perish."
02. The Mechanics
The mechanic is Anticipation. Prosperity isn't spending all you get; it's managing life's cycles. Joseph's reserve saved the world. The faithful steward knows "winter" is coming and prepares during "summer".
03. The Application
How do you handle "fat cow" times? Do you spend it all? Joseph teaches us to save. Don't eat all your seed. Create financial margin. Your good management today will be your family's salvation tomorrow.
