Noah got drunk and lay naked. Ham saw it and told his brothers (exposure). Shem and Japheth took a garment, walked backward (not to see), and covered their father. Ham was cursed; they were blessed.
"Then Shem and Japheth took a garment... and walking backward, they covered the nakedness of their father."
02. The Mechanics
The mechanic of honor is Protection. Honor isn't agreeing with sin, but refusing to expose shame publicly. Ham exposed; the others covered the dignity of the position despite the person's failure. Exposing authority attracts a curse.
03. The Application
How do you react when a leader fails? Do you gossip (Ham) or cover (Shem)? God didn't call us to judge others' nakedness, but to restore. Honor covers a multitude of sins and preserves the family's future.
