01. The Law
Peter meets a lame man. He had no money ("silver and gold I do not have"), but he had something better. "What I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
"But what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!"
02. The Mechanics
The mechanic is Power of Attorney. "In the name of Jesus" isn't a magic spell; it's acting legally as the King's representative. Like a policeman saying "in the name of the law". The power isn't in Peter, but in the Authority he represents. Heaven recognizes the signature.
03. The Application
Do you know what you "have"? We focus on lack. But if you are a child, you have the Name. You have delegated authority. Don't use Jesus' name as a punctuation mark; use it as a decree of legal authority.
