01. The Law
The world runs on Contracts: "I do my part if you do yours." Based on rights. The Kingdom runs on Covenant: "I give you my life." Based on sacrifice.
"Then Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul."
02. The Mechanics
The mechanic is total exchange. Jonathan gave David his robe (identity) and sword (strength). In Covenant with God, we trade our weakness for His strength. It is a fusion. What is mine is His; what is His is mine.
03. The Application
Do you live by contract or covenant? Contracts cancel when others fail; Covenants cover. God doesn't tear up His covenant when we fail. Be a covenant person: loyal when it hurts.
