01. The Law
Jesus went to Nazareth. They knew Him ("Is this not the carpenter?"). Result: "He could do no mighty work there." Familiarity bred dishonor, and dishonor blocked God's power.
"A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household."
02. The Mechanics
The mechanic is Distinction. They saw Jesus as "common", so they received common results. Honor sees the divine within the human. If you treat your leader as a buddy, you get buddy advice; treat him as a prophet, you get God's word. Miracles depend on the honor of the receiver.
03. The Application
Have you lost honor for those close to you because you know their flaws? Familiarity blinds. Restore the eyes of honor. See God's treasure in the clay jar. Honoring the "known" unlocks "unknown" miracles.
