To redeem Ruth, Boaz made a legal deal. The kinsman took off his sandal and gave it to Boaz, symbolizing transfer of ownership.
"A man removed his sandal and gave it to another. This was the manner of attesting in Israel."
02. The Mechanics
The mechanic is Public Legality. Redemption is a visible transaction. Boaz paid and signed with the sandal. Christ did this on the cross, legally buying us.
03. The Application
Do you understand you were "bought"? Your life isn't yours. Covenant means change of ownership. Christ redeemed you. Live as the King's property.
