01. The Law
The only commandment with a biological promise: "Honor your father and mother... that it may go well with you and that you may live long." There is a mysterious link between treating our origin (parents) and enjoying our destiny (future).

02. The Mechanics
The mechanic doesn't require perfect parents. Honor isn't blind obedience to abuse; it is assigning weight to the position God established. Dishonoring parents (speaking ill, neglect) brings premature "death" to our dreams.
03. The Application
How do you speak of your parents? Do you hold grudges? Honor is a maturity test: forgiving those who raised us and covering them with dignity. If you want it to "go well" with you, fix the bridge with home. Honor heals history.
