01. The Law
Paul quotes Genesis: "The two shall become one flesh." He calls this a "great mystery," revealing that human marriage is just a reflection of the true covenant between Christ and the Church.
"Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."
02. The Mechanics
The mechanic is Fusion. In a contract, 1+1=2. In covenant, 1+1=1. Christ assumed our debt because, on the cross, He became "one flesh" with our humanity, so we could become "one spirit" with Him.
03. The Application
Do you live independently or fused? In marriage or with God, individualism is the enemy. Shifting from "mine" to "ours" is the key to power. Where there is unity, God commands the blessing. Break the walls of independence.
